Outdoor Adventure Educational & Empowerment Outdoor Adventure Weekend Program "The Adventure Begins Now"
Unique Alternatives, Inc. Educational & Empowerment Outdoor Adventure Program focuses on empowering our youth as they deal with life encounters and barriers. Our program incorporate outdoor activities such as basic camping, tent assembly, meal prep, nature exploration, hiking, fishing, and more to empower youth.
Youth sit around campfires, engage in hiking explorations while addressing topics such as understanding values, peer pressure, dealing with mental health, exploring and discussing educational options, and looking at future career paths and more. We provide tent and all tools needed for day camping setup. Weekend Outdoor Adventure Program meet at city, county, and state parks.
Meeting Dates Once a month on a Saturday from 10:00 am t0 5;00 pm during fall and winter months.
Group Facilitator The group is facilitated by Quinton Hoskie MSW. Mr. Hoskie is a mental health professional and educator who loves to educated and empower youth using various tools and methods to empower change. Mr. Hoskie is also supported by various volunteers with different skills sets to help others help themselves.
Outdoor Adventure Cost Youth ages 8 to 17 is $35 per group member per day. For private groups such as youth involved in foster care or youth/adults* in developmental group home care setting is $300.00 per day up to six campers.
