About the Founder
Quinton L. Hoskie is a native of Richmond, Virginia and grew up in the historical Church Hill East End section of the town. Mr. Hoskie is the founder of Unique Alternatives Incorporated. Mr. Hoskie has over 15 years of experience working with youth and adults.
Mr. Hoskie graduated from Norfolk State University located in Norfolk, Virginia. In 2000 he received a bachelor degree in Social Work. While working full time at Paramount Group Home and Alternatives Family Treatment Services (intensive in-home services) under his mentor, Betty Gray Henson, Mr. Hoskie obtained his master degree in Clinical Social Work in 2003.
Mr. Hoskie has educational and hands on work experience in the areas of mental health, juvenile justice, community agencies, group homes settings for delinquent youth, youth and family social services, homelessness, domestic violence, sex offender treatment, life skills for youth, various communities programs and nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Hoskie is a 1997 initiate of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Mr. Hoskie has coached various youth sports with local churches, YMCA and college intramural basketball. Mr. Hoskie has organized community flag football events, comedy fundraisers, and other community activities to engage, inspire and empower individuals, children, families and communities.
