Exploring Educational Options
Unique Alternatives Inc. One on One Life Skills Program is an educational & empowerment program that provides life skills to males and females from age 14 to young adulthood. The primary aim of this service is to promote appropriate levels of self-sufficiency and productive daily living skills.
This is an ideal program for individual(s) who are transitioning from and/or maybe involved in the Juvenile Justice System, Juvenile Correctional Facilities, Halfway Homes, Department of Social Services, Mental health System, Group Homes, Foster Care Homes, as well as individuals residing in traditional and non-traditional family dwelling settings.
Our Program is designed to enable individuals to initiate the process of being productive citizens within their own localities, and building accountability for their individualized life-long goals, dreams and endeavors. It also ensures a viable support system to individuals within the criminal justice and foster care system who are without the traditional parental role models and “one on one” service to assist them with life’s transition from adolescent to adulthood.
Unique Alternatives Inc. One on One Life Skills Program uses the strength based perspective. The strengths base perspective is an approach to the process of practice rather than a theory. The primary goal of this practice concept is minimizing the weaknesses and maximizing the strengths of the individual as they move through various stages of human development.
